FAQ
Accomodation
During the wedding We will be staying at the Garden Village Bled
apart from its proximity to the lake and its natural beauty, It is situated on the edge of a creek, has a pool and most rooms have their own Hot tub. This means those traveling with children will need to supervise them around the water.
We have booked the accomodation for 3 days and 2 nights during the wedding. if you want to travel around bled before or after the wedding, our Wedding Planner Petra has provided us with a list of trusted locations that we can provide if requested
Weather
The End of September / start of October in bled begins to get cooler, but it still remains fairly pleasant.
It is a mixed bag of sunny, cloudy or rainy but Daytime temperatures still reach north of 20°C.
and night time temps around 9°C.
You would still be fine to head out during the day wearing light clothing, however there is a risk of rain showers at this time of year so it would be wise to bring a light jacket, waterproof mac and umbrella with you, just incase

Travel
Travelling to Slovenia From Australia does not require a visa to enter but you will need a passport so consider this your reminder to check your passport will be valid in 2026
When you arrive in Ljubljana (capital of Slovenia) there are a few ways to get to Lake bled which is one hour north of the the city.
If you are comfortable driving on the opposite side of the road, Car Hire is your best bet. carpooling if travelling as a group is recommended.
otherwise there is a bus that runs every few hours from Ljubljana to Bled - We have taken it and its easy as!
Dress Code
Right now the dress code is formal / Black tie Optional.
But please lo0k at the Weather and adapt appropriately
apart from that please bring enough appropriate clothes for your travel duration
Lake Bled is an alpine lake so there are quite a few steps around, please bring appropriate shoes for going up and down stairs but also into and out of boats

The Ceremony
We are undertaking an international legal ceremony, so The Structure will be different to Australian weddings
The Ceremony needs to be performed by a Person of law and in the language of the law (Slovene). this means we will have an english translator present at the ceremony.
Due to these requirements we need to book a person of the law to officiate and they have short booking periods so we kindly ask you all to be on time as love waits for no one, especially in Slovenia!
Lake Bled
There are so many things to do around Lake Bled when you wont be doing wedding things: hiking, Spas, boating, cycling, pastry eating, swimming, zip-lining, mini golfing. so come prepared!
We will add a more detailed recommended todo list closer the date but in the meantime we encourage you to research the area and Slovenia in general.
